Atlanta, GA Residential Roofing Services

A new roof is a big decision, so we go through the options and the schedule with you before work starts. When the crew finishes, they clean up.

Roof Installation

Building new or adding on? We’ll show you the roof systems that fit the house and the budget. More on new roof installation.

Roof Repair

A damaged roof doesn’t always need to come off. If the damage is in one area and the deck underneath is sound, a repair may be all it needs. More on roof repair.

Roof Replacement

At some point, repairs stop paying off. Leaks come back. Shingles keep letting go. When the wear or the damage is everywhere, we’ll walk you through replacement options that suit the house and the budget. More on roof replacement.

Roof Drone Inspection

Some roofs are too steep or too fragile to walk on. A drone gets close-up photos of those spots, and nobody has to step on them. More on roof drone inspections.

Atlanta, GA Commercial Roofing

Commercial roofs are a different job. Most are flat or low-slope, and they fail in different ways than shingles do. We’ll tell you whether yours needs a repair, a replacement or a maintenance plan. More on commercial roofing.

Atlanta, GA Gutter Installation

Gutters are part of the roof system. When they overflow, the water ends up at your foundation. We can install seamless gutters at the same time as your new roof. More on gutters.

Atlanta, GA Skylight Installation

Want more daylight? We install skylights in homes and businesses, and a new roof is the easiest time to add one. More on skylights.

Roofing conditions in Atlanta

The homes

Atlanta has about 265,899 homes. The typical home in Atlanta was built in 1989. About 43% went up before 1980, and 21% in 2010 or later. Most are lived in by their owners (46%), and 36% are single-family detached houses.

A house that old has probably had its roof replaced at least once. If yours is due again, have the roof deck and attic ventilation checked at the same time. More in our guide: how long asphalt shingles last in Georgia.

Storm history in Fulton County

From 2016 to 2025, NOAA's Storm Events Database lists 34 hail records, 128 thunderstorm wind reports of about 58 mph or more, and 10 tornado records for Fulton County. Most hail records fell in March and June. The largest hail recorded was 1.75-inch hail on April 5, 2017. One storm can show up as several records, because each record is a single report from one spot.

Storm damage is hard to see from the driveway. A creased or lifted shingle looks fine from below, then leaks months later. After a bad storm, a free roof inspection settles it. Here's what we check for.

Permits

Residential building permits in Atlanta are issued by the Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings, phone (404) 330-6906. Ask that office whether your roof project needs a permit.

City and county rules aren't always the same. The office that covers your address has the final word, and we check before work starts.

Repair or replace?

A new roof isn't always the answer. After an inspection, these are the things that usually decide it.

Repair may make sense when

  • The damage is in one spot
  • The roof has years of life left
  • The deck, ventilation and flashing are sound

Replacement may make sense when

  • Wear or storm damage covers much of the roof
  • Leaks keep coming back, in more than one place
  • The roof is near the end of its life
