DeKalb County Residential Roofing Services

A new roof is a big decision, so we go through the options and the schedule with you before work starts. When the crew finishes, they clean up.

Roof Installation

Building new or adding on? We’ll show you the roof systems that fit the house and the budget. More on new roof installation.

Roof Repair

A damaged roof doesn’t always need to come off. If the damage is in one area and the deck underneath is sound, a repair may be all it needs. More on roof repair.

Roof Replacement

At some point, repairs stop paying off. Leaks come back. Shingles keep letting go. When the wear or the damage is everywhere, we’ll walk you through replacement options that suit the house and the budget. More on roof replacement.

Roof Drone Inspection

Some roofs are too steep or too fragile to walk on. A drone gets close-up photos of those spots, and nobody has to step on them. More on roof drone inspections.

DeKalb County Commercial Roofing

Commercial roofs are a different job. Most are flat or low-slope, and they fail in different ways than shingles do. We’ll tell you whether yours needs a repair, a replacement or a maintenance plan. More on commercial roofing.

DeKalb County Gutter Installation

Gutters are part of the roof system. When they overflow, the water ends up at your foundation. We can install seamless gutters at the same time as your new roof. More on gutters.

DeKalb County Skylight Installation

Want more daylight? We install skylights in homes and businesses, and a new roof is the easiest time to add one. More on skylights.

Working With Hero Roofing

Expect plain answers. If your roof has years left, we’ll say so. If it doesn’t, we’ll show you why, with photos.

Storm damage is hard to see from the driveway. A creased or lifted shingle looks fine from below, then leaks months later. After a bad storm, a free roof inspection settles it. Here's what we check for.

Permits

Residential building permits in DeKalb County are issued by the DeKalb County Department of Planning & Sustainability – Permits, Plan Review & Inspections Division, phone 404.371.2155. Ask that office whether your roof project needs a permit.

Repair or replace?

A new roof isn't always the answer. After an inspection, these are the things that usually decide it.

Repair may make sense when

  • The damage is in one spot
  • The roof has years of life left
  • The deck, ventilation and flashing are sound

Replacement may make sense when

  • Wear or storm damage covers much of the roof
  • Leaks keep coming back, in more than one place
  • The roof is near the end of its life
